Clinical Trial FAQ’s

Everything You Need to Know About Research. Find answers to common questions about participating in
clinical research, participant safety, and what to expect.
Getting Started

Once you enter your information or contact us for interest in a study, we will ask a series of questions to see if you may qualify for a screening visit.

Costs & Compensation

Participating in a clinical trial requires no cost and there may be compensation for your time in the study. If needed, we may also provide a ride to take you from and back to your residence.

Common Misconceptions

1. Participants are test subjects

Clinical ethics and patient autonomy are upheld at every stage of care. Participation in medical advancement remains entirely voluntary, while the patient’s journey and well-being remain the primary focus.

2. You cannot stop once you start

Throughout your participation in the study, we are committed to providing transparent and comprehensive information about each step of the process. Should you choose to withdraw at any time, your decision will be respected, and appropriate measures will be taken to end your participation safely and promptly.

3. Trials are only for life-threatening conditions

Clinical trials are essential to improving healthcare, helping researchers develop new treatments while enhancing the quality of life for patients. This supports the creation of safer, more effective medications, medical devices, and procedures for a wide rang of conditions.

Safety & Participant Rights
At Nova, we have a dedicated and compassionate team that will ensure your safety and comfort throughout the process of the study you participate in. At any point you do not wish to continue, there are no consequences and you may opt out at any point.
Privacy & Confidentiality
Any private information that is needed for the study will not be revealed and will always be protected under federal law. Good clinical practice is held to the highest standard with every study and participant.
